Inspiration Organization...an old armoire gets new life!

Ahhh, the New Year is here and if your anything like me, your thinking how can I be more organized this year!

With so many people nowadays making the switch to wide screen televisions...what can we do with our old Armoires that used to hold those big, square TVs?

Why create a fun n' functional Craft Storage Center!  Like this one from Maple and Magnolia...

This old Armoire got new life with a coat of paint, new shelves, as well as cork and peg boards!  Now it's a clean, organized place for Craft or Project Storage.  And all that beautiful clutter is hidden away, yet perfectly accessible when needed.

{HEART} this project!

  1. A great project and fun way to get organized. I would love to have a cabinet like this to organize all of my craft things.

  2. Funny, I believe this is the same armoire that I have(Nester has it too, as does Katie from Cowboy Phraseology). Mine is still the original Pine wood but Id been thinking of selling it on Craigslist once we get a new TV. It may be staying now and just be repurposed:)

  3. I just posted about this very subject - I turned our TV armoire into a home office that I'm sitting at right now.....I love it! The best part is that I can close the doors and no one needs to see the craziness inside!

  4. Hi Jane. Wow! What a nice surprise when your blog popped up in reader today. Thanks for featuring my project armoire! I'm enjoying having my crafty stuff organized and in one place. Now if I could just get about 10 more to organize the rest of our junk! ;) Have a great day.

  8. We were just talking about having to move the TV from our armoire. I have already decided that I'll move the piece to the kitchen and use it for pantry/craft storage. I thought with pull out shelves it would be perfect.

I too need to get more organized.

  10. This is such a great idea! Right now you can buy these aroires for a song since everyone had them and now are ditching them for flat screens. I bought a BEAUTIFUL one for $150!
    Thanks for the idea!
