Hey guys, there's something on my mind and I need to share it with you...black painted french doors! Yup, I'm searching for a fun project to do this Summer and this may just be the one. Here's a pic of our white french doors over to the right.
Not a great picture I know, a little crooked. But you get the idea. I feel like these white doors just don't fit in with the rest of our decor. So here's what I've been dreaming of....
Okay guys what do you think? Should I go for it? I'm thinking yes. Now I just need to convince the hubby and then project ON.

You know, it is just paint, so give it a go and if it really isn't what you like, you can always repaint it. It's not like knocking out walls. At least that is what I am always telling myself. lol Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, love your site and ideas! I think the black will look great too. Also, just a thought, did you ever think of painting the brick fireplace to match your mantle? I really think that would look good and really pop when your paint the doors black!
ReplyDeleteYes Diane, I want to do something with our brick fireplace too! However my hubby likes the brick. He won't let me paint it, lol!! But the french doors, we both think will look great black.

DeleteI just painted two of my doors black and at first I thought I'd made a terrible mistake, but now that I've lived with them for two weeks I love them! I think it was such a difference, going from white to black, that I had to get used to it but I love them now. My daughter painted all her interior doors black and it really made a dramatic difference in the way her house feels. Just go for it!
