Christmas Decor...change up!

 

Hey guys, thought I'd share my Christmas decor change up!  If you'll remember last week the hubby and I snagged these silver reindeer and tree from Stein mart on sale!  At first I used red wrapping paper to cover our gallery wrapped canvas for added color and height, but then I got the itch to go with more of a Winter White theme.


So I found the perfect wrapping paper with a great silver design...much more modern and updated don't you think?


Our mantle got a small face lift too.  See the red topiary...well the base used to be gold.  I painted it silver to go with our new color scheme.  I also scored two mercury glass candle votives from Michael's for just $14.99 each.



And here's the whole look pulled together!  Love how the silver pieces in the mantle now relate to the silver decor on top of our blanket chest.  

Projects like these are my favorite.  I like to use what I have on hand and add in a few new updated and affordable finds.  Then pull everything together in a fresh new way.

    This may be a bit different from your changes.. although
    I did decorate my home, my changes have been two new
    slipcovers I made this past week for my living room..
    after I decorated I looked at those chairs and went
    yiikkeess!

      Thanks Sandy! Decorating for the Holidays is tricky because we're trying to pull together so many different elements!

    You can do so much with gift wrap. It's an easy decor change up. I love the new paper you choose and those reindeer are beautiful!
