Our Fall/Halloween Decor...

Hey guys, I'm sure you've brought out your Fall & Halloween decorations by now!  After all Halloween is just a little over 1 week away.  But in case you'd like to decorate more there's still time.  Both Michael's and Jo-Anne's have marked all their Fall and Halloween decorations down 50 - 60% off.

I snagged this wreath below for just $12 the other day from Jo-Anne's.  Total score...love finding great deals like this!

So I thought I'd share a few more pics of our Fall decor.  It's never over the top here, but Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons.

This is my first time using cabbage kale plants.  In years past I've used simple Mums, but they never do well and seem to die just when Winter starts.  I'm hoping these cabbage plants last all Winter long because I'm all about long lasting and low maintenance plants!

Here's our mantle.  The skull headstone I snagged from the Dollar Tree...you know I love me some DS!  The bottle is titled "green grog" and is a Martha Stuart Halloween Label.  I just steamed off the old wine label and applied this new one...I love recycling wine bottles into fun home accessories!

If you're a regular reader here at FF you know that our great room is primarily monochromatic with neutral walls, dark wood tables and black and white accents.  I love creating simple Holiday vignettes with our existing neutral decor and pops of Holiday color...so simple!

Okay guys, this is what Fall looks like in our home.

Happy Fall Y'all!

  1. Looks great - I LOOOOOVEE your front door and porch!

I found some awesome varegaited mums the other day, but couldn't bring myself to drop $15 each on them for the same reason you didn't do it this year - maybe I'll try the cabbage kale. I've always like the color and texture.

  2. I just love those Cabbage Kale! So fresh! And your outfit we got a peek of in the mirror, is super cutie! ;-) I like how your fireplace is all ready to welcome some trick or treaters. Only treats with this post, for sure! My house is mostly neutral; you are right; it makes any holiday POP! Enjoy the fall! xoxo jules

  3. Your decorations look wonderful. I think I am in love with your front door. I have been planting kale and cabbage for a few years now and here in California they lasted the until Spring and they went to seed. I enjoyed watching them going to seed they were just gorgeous.

  4. Laugh all you like but I feel like a tourist when I read some of your blogs and this one again is brilliant because here in Australia Halloween is just a new thing only recently being celebrated - for commercial reasons only ie very very tacky and full of plastic - and we don't celebrate "Fall" (Autumn to us) like you seem to in the States. I love it! Sylvia
