Fabric & Vinyl Spray Paint?

Holy Moly, so excited over here!  I've just discovered a Rustoleum Spray Paint made specifically for fabric and vinyl.  Really?  Is this stuff for real?

But more importantly...does it work?

Oh yes it does!

This vinyl couch above from the blog Johnny in a Dress used to be black.  Natalie wanted a lighter look for her playroom, and put this spray paint to the test!  The results?  She LOVES it, and swears by this product (no cracking or peeling, and super easy to clean!)  I have to admit though, I am skeptical when using this product on fabric.

Isn't it amazing all the Do it yourself products available on the market these days?  What will they think of next...granite in a can?  Ahhh, if only I could spray paint a new granite counter top! ;)

If you've tried this spray paint on fabric...let us know how your project turned out!

  1. That looks amazing! I am pinning this right now.

  2. I used vinyl spraypaint 20 years ago on the headliner in a VW bug. It worked great even then.

  3. Fabulous transformation. I love the idea. Hugs, Marty

  4. Oooh..granite in a can. I would try that for sure! I think that would be great for outside fabric that gets so faded...hmm, may have to try some!!

  5. This isn't quite "granite in a can", but it is as close as you could get!

  6. Oh I can hardly wait to try this. Where did you buy yours? I have no idea what I will use it on but I will find something.
    Thanks for sharing.

  7. I so need some local fabric spray paint in a can for a few projects since I do not sew, I'm anxious to know if it works on fabric too!

  8. I am sooo going to try this on a wing chair I have that I want to re cover, but not right now. The fabric is horrible already. Headed to Lowes tonight!

  9. The do have granite in a can Gianni Granite. Did it on our old worn out counters and it looks pretty good! Only cost $70 rather than the $4500 is was going to cost to replace.

Thanks for your feedback...
