Wow, what a week-end, we did absolutely nothing…but paint! My New Year's Resolution this year is to finish painting several rooms in our home. But check out the progress we made in just one week-end. Here are the previous beige walls that were literally driving me nuts. They were just too warm...
And here's the After, with the walls painted in Sherwin Williams Useful Gray - 7050.
Wow, I'm already in LOVE, and the room isn't even finished yet! We still need to hang curtains and pictures. I also need to freshen up the trim work.
And then there's the fireplace. We ripped off that way too traditional medallion below and plan to sand for a clean and more modern look. And then we'll need to paint the brick a creamy white.
Okay let's look at the After one more time shall we? I seriously can't believe how new and clean the room feels now. And that's huge considering our house, being a 1980's brick colonial has always felt older to me.
Okay, so what do you guys think, do you like the cool gray walls? So far I likey ;) But we've still got a lot more work to do. Stay tuned for the full reveal, but give us a good week or so to finish everything!

I really, really love the gray! It's modern and traditional all at the same time. Just perfect!
