Guest Blogger...Jamie from A Little Lovely!

Happy Thursday...Jamie From  A Little Lovely is here today, wahoo!

 I know many of you have seen Jamie's fabulous projects floating around the linky party circuit in blogland.  Yup, they are clean n' simple, with modern lines and graphic prints that rock!  Jamie's style is traditional with a cool modern edge that's a ton of fun!  Well lucky for us, she's here today to share a few of her latest projects.  Here she is...
hello finding fabulous readers!!
I'm so excited to be here today!! I'm the crafter behind a little lovely. a blog all about diy projects, home decor ideas, recipes, etc.

i host a Saturday soiree linky party each week and would love to have you stop by some time and link up what you've been working on!
i am currently offering ad space on my blog right now, so if you have an etsy store or anything else you would like to promote feel free to email me at

OK now onto the fun part!!
I have been working on my foyer now for quite sometime, mostly because i was having the hardest time finding an affordable entry table that i loved. i didn't want to settle and therefore months have gone by and i am still without an entry table.

well...then i saw this project at house of smith's and i knew it was the perfect solution for me!
i have a small entry way so i needed something that wouldn't take up much space. so, a made a shelf and hung it on the wall at the same height a table would be.
here's how i did it!
i bought a piece of wood 2.5' long {& approx. 9" deep} and i piece of molding that was 5' long...

and two of these!
{i got mine at home depot but I'm sure you could find them many different places.}
i cut three appropriate sized pieces of molding with 45 degree angles and used liquid nails to attach the molding to the 2.5' long board.
{like the above picture. i used tape to hold it in place while it dried.}

then i painted my brackets white.
after everything dried i sanded the edges to expose the natural wood color.
i attached the brackets to the wall and the shelf to the brackets and was done!!

i have many more projects over on my blog....

glass tile tutorial

painting crisp lines tutorial

topiary tutorial

jersey knit flower tutorial

black crystal chandelier

painted chevron wall
reupholstered chair
hope you'll stop by!!  Thanks for having me, Jane!

You are welcome Jamie, THANK YOU for sharing so many of your fabulous projects!  That lil' shelf in your foyer is the perfect solution for extra table space, and it looks great too...great job!

 I also love all the graphic prints you've incorporated into your the chevron design in your bathroom, and the black and white print on the chair you reupholstered.  Your home looks so clean and modern, yet still warm and inviting...pat yourself on the back girl cuz I'm thinkin' you've found a little fabulous!

Okay, head on over to  A Little Lovely if you haven't yet, because no matter what your style is...Jamie will inspire you with her clean n' sophisticated spaces.
