We've got a winner to announce today for our Shaklee giveaway, but first here are a few fabulous favorites that caught my eye!

Jennifer from Perfectly Imperfect linked up her $5 dollar lamp base she scored from a local thrifty store.  She spray painted this baby and added a new lamp shade.  Such a great lamp this!

Alyssa from the Persnickety Peacock shared her bird's nest art she made with sheet music and wooden plaques.  Such creativity here and what a fun Easter decoration!

Anne Marie and Cara from Twice Lovely shared their vanity makeover.  This piece was dark and dated!  They gave it a creamy coat of paint in "satin ivory" and distressed the edges.  Now this piece is light and bright...perfectly shabby chic!

And finally Ashely from Little Miss Momma linked up her thrifty n' chic wall art she made with a simple canvas, paint and stencil.  This is a great idea, and would look great in any color to match any decor!

Okay, onto our giveaway!  If you'll remember the fabulous Bonnie Donahue from Shaklee offered a $30 certificate towards any fabulous Shaklee product from her website including free shipping, as well as a FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP worth $19.95 to one lucky winner!

Vintage Inspired Coasters!

I have a confession...I've never used Mod Podge before, crazy huh? So the other day I was looking at our monochromatic family room and thought this room could use a little color!  So I set out to make coasters using craft paper and Mod Podge.  Here's how it all went down.

Here are my supplies.  I chose craft papers in soft turquoise and green.  These tiles I found at the re-store for 25 cents each.

Using the Mod Podge, I started by adhering the paper to the top of the tile.

Then I put a thin layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper allowing 15 minutes to dry before adding another layer.

Here they are drying.  Kid 2 made a cute butterfly coaster...

Each coaster has 3 thin layers of Mod Podge...this should protect the papers from any water damage.

Here they are finished, although I still need to add a cork backing to protect my table from scratches.

Cute and functional...two of my favorite things!

This is such a fun rainy day project, and took just under 2 hours to complete.  Now I've got fun, pretty coasters that also protect my table from water marks.

My first experience with Mod Podge?  Yup, Mod Podge rocks!!!

Robin from View from the Nest linked up this ca-ute apothecary jar she scored from Pier 1 Imports.  She added some easter egg soaps found on clearance, a little raffia...and this is the perfect Easter decoration!

Joan from Anything Goes Here took scraps of pine trim moulding, painted them in bright colors and added spools of thread.  Now she's got one of a kind jewelry holders perfect for necklaces and bracelets.  Now this is thinkin' outside the that!

MirrorMate...A Mirror Transformation!

You know those builder grade, outdated bathroom mirrors that practically cover the entire wall?  Yup, we've got two of those babies in our house, and believe me when I say I'm not a fan.  So I was both excited and a little skeptical a couple of weeks ago when MirrorMate offered me one of their frames to try for myself.

MirrorMate is a Company that promises to outfit your bathroom mirror in minutes with a MirrorMate frame.  They custom cut the frames to fit your mirror measurements.  The four frame legs assemble and the finished frame tapes right onto the glass.  It almost sounds too good to be true doesn't it?

Okay with the Hubby's's our bathroom mirror transformation!

Here's the before.  Yawn...b-o-r-i-n-g!

First things first we removed this lovely mirrored trim!  Yeah...not so lovely!

Next we scraped off the old black double sided tape and cleaned the mirror edges with rubbing alcohol.

Then we layed the frame out and applied the double sided tape provided, and glued the mitered edges together.

These connectors we placed into the slots provided.  So far this is too easy!  After this step we waited one hour per the directions to let the glue set.
Okay, we put the frame in front of the mirror and removed the tape backing.
Finally, we pressed the mirror into place and's that easy folks!
Yup, this old mirror is transformed!
Here's a close-up of the mitered edges...looks perfect to me!
And one more look.  Yup, I'm lovin' this new look!
If you've got one of these outdated, builder grade must check out MirrorMate!  This project was super easy and economical too when you consider the cost of replacing the whole mirror.
