Guest Blogger: Rene from Cottage and Vine

...
I'm so excited today cuz we've got a guest blogger in the house!  And not just any guest blogger...Rene from Cottage and Vine is here.  I just love her blog...always chalk full of fabulous design ideas and within budget too...you know I love that!  Okay Rene, thanks for stopping by and take it away...

Jane thanks so much for inviting me over to guest blog!  I am thrilled to be here today!  To tell you a little bit about myself, I am Rene from the blog Cottage and Vine.  I love DIY projects, decorating, and gardening.

Today I thought that I would share some of my favorite sources for free artwork and photographs.

I love to see large groupings of of art and botanical prints.  When grouped together, the prints have more of an impact on a room and the effect can be stunning.

These are images that I found at one of my favorite websites for free art called Vintage Printable.  Vintage Printable has all sorts of images to chose from ranging from eggs and botanicals to maps and architecture.

Printing these images is easy.  Once you make your selection, click on the image to enlarge it.  Then copy and paste the image into a word document.  Once you have it in a word document, you can play with the size by right clicking and resizing.  You can print the image onto any paper, but I usually use card stock from If It's Paper.  It's that easy.

Another great source for free art is the NYPL Digital Gallery.

If you are into old photographs, you might try Shorpy Historic Photo Archive

If you give it a try, I would love to hear from you.  Thanks again for the opportunity to guest blog Jane!

You are so very welcome Rene!  Thanks for the fabulous tips on finding free artwork and photographs.  And those bamboo framed prints in your kitchen...yup, fabulous!  If your looking for more design inspiration, check out Rene's blog Cottage and Vine!

Okay Party people...Frugalicious Friday is on tomorrow and we've got a giveaway from Purple Trail!  Remember to link up those fabulous finds, crafts and Diy projects...we want to see how you find fabulous!

It is really ironic that I came today. I want to do a grouping of birds on a wall and didn't know where to start. You make printing the images so easy. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks so much!!
